Too Wistful 03:56
Too Wistful By Caleb Stull, 2021 Am C Dm If you have any interest in the story F You’re looking for conflict Am A great story can be hell to live in. The daily little frictions What we want and what’s stopping a solution. I tell you it’s crazy making. F Dm (A) Got suspicions and lots of questions G F You’ve been searching thru dreams For all the difference. Lots of hyping and sexy promises But if they really worked then why so numerous? C F Am I being true to it? C F Embellished the stories a bit! How strong do the stories have to be To replace the truth in our memory. The weight of history is on me. (B) I’m too friendly No, I’m the cruelest Been curating so long I’ve lost the difference. Lots of hyping and sexy promises The adventurous story’s hard to live with. Am I being true to it? Embellish my little story a bit!

Incessant 04:44
Incessant copyright Caleb Stull ©2022 (tuned DADGBD) D/G A large and luminous night, the water a mirror to the sky. D Reflecting reflections, each vision an interpretation of light. Reading the contour of the ground, notations in rock and sound. Time plays its scars on us, as it plays itself in the ice and the dust. E/Bm (b3)? Desperately in love Bm A Your face becomes the brightest diamond As I want you love I can’t watch you laugh, it’s blinding. Left feeling small and young, a mere spark in the life of the sun And I only trust the doubtful of us, the blindly convinced they appear rather sus. Where are all the angry songs, the subversive sing-alongs? You’d be drawn out by the beat out into the street. Desperately realize Half the world is blind and dangerous. It ain’t no surprise That dumb will spread so wide, contagious. G A And it’s this perspective that makes me feel much smaller but less hidden. Taking solace in the fact the unique feelings in our friends are all so common. Incessantly in doubt Truth proves itself so wild, elusive. Can you figure out How you’ve become the greatest reason? Em G D A Em G Bm A

Future Historians copyright Caleb Stull, 2021 I’ve been distraction and I’ve been a guiding hand. I’ve dug the roots of love and lost them in the sand. It’s made little difference in this circle I’m travelling. We’ve been resilient, A choice and imposter lie, You harden at some things, while others soften as you try. History doesn’t vibe with yours and mine I am fine with anonymity. We have little choice Between what’s left And what we’re leaving. I was just a moment As you were a flashing spark! Born from the cosmic nothing And we flow back into the dark. What fear propels me! Would we want immortality? With the mortgage due on this body, Like sand back into sea. Yes we were something once, but now the bitch of entropy. The future mystery has no room, no room for you and me. The future a history, if there are still eyes to read.

The Vegetable Forces copyright Caleb Stull 2022 C#m, 4/4, Capo @ 2 Bm D6/F# Do you feel the pull of the vegetable forces A E Lulling you into the deep, dark wood? Bm D6/F# Like a light sleep when you’re in and out of dreamland. A E It’s green tranquilize, all languid and sweet. Bm That’s not where we chose to live. A Em Crowded and expensive. Bm… We can’t slow, we can’t slow and catch our balance. Steal me away from all cement! Wrap me nettles and licorice. Take my clothes, take my mask so I can shake it. Turnaround: Bm E Em The fire is a call to those who can hear it. It speaks in a language of catastrophe. It’s been a comfy epoch, but now we’ve gone and pox’d it. It speaks in a language of the Exponent. Where you want to go to next? We need some mental self defence. We can’t know, we can’t know unless we save it. Steal me away from all this hate. I’ve grown up and I feel different. We can’t know it, we can’t know unless we try it. Bridge – D6/F# D6/F# G G D6/F# Em D6/F# B7/F# G / F#m / B7/F# / / / We motored out of town, borrowed a cabin by the lake And we dropped some acid. You said "Love is the actions that you take". And the water felt like ahhhh, an extension of our skin. To the parts all wild and dangerous, we make our way in.

Separately 04:56
Separates copyright Caleb Stull, 2021 D(b5) Your hands are a signal F#m They’re your searching branch D(b5) Move through your loose molecules C#m A Use it all as if it’s your last chance. I know you’re superstitious And I’m a conspiratorial hack. Somewhere out there we have lost it. Now we’re grasping for our way back. G Bm (A) It’s way sillier A A/G# It’s a funny rowe And somehow we’ll get there Without ever knowing how (turnaround) E Neither of us sleeping much. Our brains on high alert. The days are feeling so precarious. With our bodies as bodyguards. (A) G Em Bm (B) It’s way simpler A A/G# It’s the quickest route And somehow we’ve earned it. With someone else’s help.

Radical Patience copyright Caleb Stull, 2021 Capo @ 6, 4/4 C/G Fmaj7 Align me with the curious Fm C/G The confused and absurd. As sure as this moment can make us As rarified as this earth. Am Am/G Am/F# (A) It’s only making some sense Am/F After time and a distance. Am Am/G Am/F# Am/F It takes radical patience. We are drawn out and social Survived to look on your face. I hold you as tightly as you would A precious thing that can float away. (link) Em E (tag) Fmaj7 Em C/G Em Fmaj7 Em C/G / All that to say, it’s mysterious. All that to say… (x2) Am/F# Am/F Em C/G Fmaj7 Fm C/G (x2)
7.
All Choked Up copyright Caleb Stull ©2022 F Am Dm What made us think we’d figured each other out? Gm/C C7 When we can’t even explain ourselves. The world is changing and it fills you with doubt. Will the mystery reveal itself? Bb Am Gm Hoping and dreaming F C All choked up on the feeling. Worried to fury All caught up in the hurry. Gm A And yet the fire remains. You lost somebody and you lost your way home. You’re crowded but you feel alone. You didn’t ask but you’re about to be shown A strength that you didn’t know. You had enough of, you’ve had enough of, blindly turning away. But it was too much, yeah it was too much, where you going to escape? Escape. Where you going to escape?
8.
Ragged Kind Of Life copyright Caleb Stull 2022 Gb, 6/8 Purdie shuffle, capo @ 4 D We meet up it’s still snowing G (w high E) We move to warm and keep talking A7 G Don’t let that certain kinda darkness catch us. We laugh at the memories of firings The scorched earth of big love, big endings. We laugh at who we were and who we’re becoming. Bm Bm/A G G/F# It’s a ragged kinda life Em A It’s a raging kind of love I hang off your interpretation A trust for what I’m not seeing I see you thinking and watching closely

Material 03:19
Material copyright Caleb Stull 2022 F, 4/4 Dm I know your jokes are how you survived C7 A kid in a microcosm. Gm Your smile as much of a hidden power F C As it is a defense mechanism. Your songs start silent, then grow to a roar. As your capacity grows. The words are an exorcism of sorts And a further haunting also. Gm C Matériel de la Realité F Dm Gm I haven’t found a way to really change it / (2nd) game it. Don’t worry our fear has no say. We are just not that powerful yet. I understand your memories are rough Raised in a stifling air. Every day since then a repudiation, Every love a hopeful prayer. You can’t stop you friends form modern movements You can’t stop explosions of time. The past affords no promises We’re all chasing a future that’s blind. (chorus B additions) We haven’t found the end of our curses. You haven’t heard the end of our verses. It’s absurd – the universe inverted. Do you know what this means to my tax assessment?
10.
Perpetual 03:56
Perpetual copyright Caleb Stull, 2021 Capo @ 4, 4/4 Bb Am Sooooo, am I going weird Gm F (Fmaj7) C/G Sooooo, are the meanings clear? Do they sound clear? Cause I’m outta practice, I’ve been so quiet, been so quiet. (chorus A) Fmaj7 C/G (b5) Em I am amazed we can relate at all. (You couldn’t say I had expected it) (You couldn’t say I had prepared for it. My crystal ball’s absolute shit!) Now that our memories re-author (I can see we really fucked around) (I can see we’re in the stage we find, the s stage where we really find out) You see the layers we wrestle. When we remember we re-draw. Stories aren’t lining up these days Not without a lot of deception overlayed. Aspirational fail, The based reactions prevail. You feeling nastolgic? (chorus A) (Can you feel the ground moving? Cause nothing ever stays still) (Can you feel me moving? X2) (chorus B) Fmaj7 Em C Em Accumulation, Perpetual! Re-invention – Perpetual! I feel potential – it adds to your soul. Re-invention – Perpetual! (bridge) Bb Gm C Bb Time, elastic not finite, I’ve recently lost me aspirational mind Gm C Dm I’m walking a fine line, stuck in a present that’s presently mired i Bb in a static design. Gm A7 I’ll rescue you, you’ll do for me too.
